Syarat Kempen

  • Kandungan boleh dihantar dalam format artikel atau video, dan mesti bertemakan penghargaan anda terhadap Malaysia.

  • Anda boleh mencipta kandungan sama ada dalam Bahasa Inggeris, Bahasa Melayu atau Mandarin.

  • Kandungan anda mesti memasukkan hashtag #MalaysiaKita dalam tajuknya.

  • Kandungan tanpa hashtag tidak akan dikira.

  • Artikel mestilah sekurang-kurangnya 300 patah perkataan dan mengandungi sekurang-kurangnya 1 imej atau 1 video.

  • Tempoh video mestilah sekurang-kurangnya 60 saat dengan penerangan (kapsyen) sekurang-kurangnya 20 perkataan.

  • Setiap peserta hanya dibenarkan menghantar maksimum 10 kandungan setiap minggu, tanpa mengira bahasa dan format (artikel/video). Sebarang penyerahan tambahan akan dibatalkan secara automatik.

  • Kandungan mestilah unik dan tidak diplagiat. Kandungan yang dihantar adalah eksklusif untuk Newswav dan tidak boleh diterbitkan dengan media/penerbit lain.

  • Peserta mestilah berkongsi kandungan yang diterbitkan dalam bentuk pautan Newswav (contoh: newswav.com/xxx) pada platform media sosial anda dalam tempoh kempen.

Terms & Conditions

CONTEST PERIOD

1. The #CutiCutiLocal NCC Campaign (the “Contest”) is organized by Newswav Sdn. Bhd (“the Organiser”).
2. The Contest will commence from October 16, 2023 (Mon, 12pm) to January 23, 2024 (Tue, 12pm) (above dates inclusive) (the “Contest Period”).
3. However, the period for you to submit your entry will start from October 16, 2023 (Mon, 12pm) to Jan 16, 2024 (Tue, 12pm) (above dates inclusive) (the “Submission Period”).


 

CONTEST ELIGIBILITY

4. The Contest is open to all Malaysians who fulfil the following criteria (the “Participants"):
   i) are Newswav users
   ii) aged 18 & above and residing in Malaysia


 

CONTENT SUBMISSION & REQUIREMENTS

5. Content submitted can be in article or video format (the “Content” or “Entry”) and must revolve around local travel experiences within Malaysia, whether they’re travel stories, travel guides, travel tips and hacks, or other related topics.
6. The Organiser reserves the right to reject any submissions that are non-relevant or forcefully related to the theme. 
7. Content submitted can either be in English, Bahasa Melayu or Mandarin.
8. To qualify your Content submission as an entry for this campaign, you must include the #CutiCutiLocal hashtag in your submission title, and select #CutiCutiLocal in the ‘NCC campaign’ field. Failure to include both will result in the submission not being considered as a campaign entry.
9. Article submission must be at least 300 words in length and contain at least one (1) image, with proper credit.
10. Video submission must be at least 60 seconds in duration accompanied by a minimum 100-word description.
11. Content must be original and not plagiarised. 
12. Content submitted is to be exclusive to Newswav and not shared with other media outlets/publishers.
13. Participants must share the published content in the form of Newswav link (e.g. newswav.com/xxx) on any of their social media platforms (only Facebook, Instagram, X are accepted) within the campaign period in order to be eligible. Comments do not count as sharing.

WINNER SELECTION

14. Grand Prize (x3): The creator who garners the highest total views across all of their published content for this campaign will receive a 2D1N staycation at The Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur. Newswav will select a total of three (3) winners: one (1) from all English submissions, one (1) from all Bahasa Melayu submissions, and one (1) from all Mandarin submissions.
15. Most Viewed Content Award (Up to 10): Newswav will select up to ten (10) content with the highest number of views by the end of the campaign period, and each winner will be awarded RM200 (Two Hundred Ringgit Malaysia only).
   i) There might be instances where the winners are fewer than ten (10).
16. Best Newcomer Award (Up to 3): Up to three (3) newcomers with the highest number of engagements by the end of the campaign period will each be awarded RM200 (Two Hundred Ringgit Malaysia only). N
ewswav will select up to three (3) winners: one (1) from all English submissions, one (1) from all Bahasa Melayu submissions, and one (1) from all Mandarin submissions.
   i) Engagement refers to genuine reactions, shares, and comments on Newswav.
   ii) The Organiser reserves the right to remove any duplicated, non-genuine, malicious or spam reactions, shares, and comments when tabulating the winner list.
   iii) There might be instances where the winners are fewer than three (3).
17. Historical or Cultural Significance Award (Up to 3): Newswav will select up to three (3) most interesting historical or cultural content and each winner will be awarded RM150 (One Hundred Fifty Ringgit Malaysia only).
   i) There might be instances where the winners are fewer than three (3).
18. Newswav Top Picks (Up to 30): Newswav will select up to thirty (30) most outstanding content, and each winner will be awarded RM100 (One Hundred Ringgit Malaysia only).
   i) There might be instances where the winners are fewer than thirty (30).
19. To qualify for any of the prize selections, each of your entry must meet the following criteria:
    i) English content: Achieve minimum 3,000 views and 100 engagements.
    ii) Mandarin content: Achieve minimum 2,000 views and 75 engagements.
    iii) Bahasa Melayu content: Achieve minimum 1,000 views and 50 engagements.
20.  Each participant is not limited to winning in just one category (e.g. Individual A could win the Grand Prize and Most Viewed Content Award simultaneously). However, each participant can only win one (1) prize from each category (e.g. Individual A could only win one Most Viewed Content Award even if he/she has more than one qualifying entry).

21. Winners shall be solely determined by the Organiser, whose decision shall be deemed final. No correspondence or appeal(s) will be entertained.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT & PRIZES REDEMPTION

22. Winner announcements will be made via email to the winner(s) on February 22, 2024 (Thu, 12pm).
23. Winners must provide their NRIC copy and a screenshot of their winning content shared on social media during the contest period for verification and to claim their prize. Failure to do so may result in prize revocation.
24. Winners who fail to reply to the email within seven (7) days will have their prize forfeited.

25. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or refundable in any way.
 

GENERAL

26. All costs and expenses in connection with the production of the Content and the participation of this Contest shall be fully borne by the Participants.
27. Content submitted must not be vague, illegal, or unlawful, lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, disparaging, defamatory, libellous, offensive, must not infringe any third party’s legal rights, and must not be capable of giving rise to legal action whether against you or the Organiser or a third party (in each case under any applicable law). User Content must be researched beforehand and be of truth.
28. The Organiser reserves the right to reject, edit or remove any of the Participants’ content at the discretion of the Organiser, at any time.
29. By s
ubmitting the Content, The Organiser has the rights to use the Entries or material submitted for library, promotional, or commercial use globally.

DECLARATION & AUTHORISATION

30. The Organiser reserves the right at its absolute discretion to postpone, reschedule and/or extend the Contest Period and/or terminate the Contest at any given time without prior notice.
31. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the mechanics, prizes, and terms & conditions of the Contest, as well as other aspects of the Contest at its absolute discretion without prior notice.
32. By participating in this Contest, the Participants are deemed to have read and understood and have agreed to comply with all terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) set forth in this section (as varied or changed).
