How To Participate

Stories submitted can either be in English, Bahasa Melayu or Mandarin.
Article submission must be at least 300 words in length and contain at least one (1) image.
Video submission must be at least 60 seconds in duration with a minimum 100-word description.
The story submitted must be your own and not plagiarized or copied from others. It must be exclusively submitted to Newswav and not previously shared with any other media outlets or publishers.

You may submit the content to us through email at creator@newswav.com, via WhatsApp, or Facebook Messenger. Do also let us know it’s a submission for “Newswav Anonymous”.
Once the content is approved, provide us your personal information for payment purposes.

Monetization

The Individual will be paid RM50.00 (Fifty Ringgit Malaysia Only) per submission.

Base Pay

Note: If the submission is published in more than one language, it will still be counted as one (1) submission.

Bonus Reward

The Individual also will be rewarded based on the published content’s performance for fourteen (14) days, starting from & including the date it is published:

10,001 - 20,000 views = +RM30

20,001 - 30,000 views = +RM50

30,001 - 40,000 views = +RM75

40,001 - 50,000 views = +RM100

50,001 views or more = +RM150

Note: If the Published Content is published in more than one language, the total views from all languages will be taken into account instead.

Terms & Conditions

MATERIALS & CONTENT

1. By submitting content on Newswav (the "Platform") via "Newswav Anonymous" (the "Anonymous Content" or "Content"), you represent and warrant that you are the sole owner of such content. If the story is submitted on behalf of another individual, you must ensure that it has been submitted with their full consent and permission, and that you have informed them that their story may be shared publicly.

2. The Content must not be illegal, unlawful, lewd, obscene, sexually explicit, pornographic, must not infringe any third party’s legal rights, and must not be capable of giving rise to legal action whether against you or Newswav or a third party (in each case under any applicable law).

3. The Content may be reposted onto the Platform by us in languages other than the one it is originally posted in.

4. By posting or submitting Anonymous Content through the Platform, you agree to and hereby do grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant to Newswav Sdn Bhd (“Newswav” “we” or “our” or “us”), our related corporations, subsidiaries, affiliates and contractors an irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, fully sublicensable, fully paid up, worldwide license to use, copy, publicly perform, digitally perform, publicly display, distribute such Content to adapt, edit, translate, prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works.

5. By posting or submitting content, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the Newswav Terms & Conditions and Newswav Anonymous Terms & Conditions.

6. You agree that any story submitted on behalf of another individual must have been submitted with their full consent and permission and that you have informed them that their story may be shared publicly.

MONETIZATION

7. You are eligible to earn a share of revenue from ads (determined at Newswav’s sole discretion) for all Anonymous Content successfully published on the Platform, provided that they do not breach any of Newswav’s Terms of Use.

8. Each Anonymous Content will be monetized for 14 days (“Monetization Period”), starting from and including the date it is published.

9. In the case where Newswav reposts an Anonymous Content on the Platform in multiple languages, it will still count as one (1) piece of Content eligible for monetization, regardless of its original language.

10. Compensation:

a) Base pay: the User will be paid RM50.00 (Fifty Ringgit Malaysia only) for each Anonymous Content.

b) Bonus: the User may be given an additional reward based on the Anonymous Content’s performance for fourteen (14) days, starting from & including the date it is published:

10,001 - 20,000 views = +RM30

20,001 - 30,000 views = +RM50

30,001 - 40,000 views = +RM75

40,001 - 50,000 views = +RM100

50,001 views or more = +RM150

NOTE: If the Published Content is published in more than one language, the total views from all languages will be taken into account instead.

11. The User should provide us with the necessary payment information. This information will be used solely for payment purposes.

12. Once the monetization period is over, the payment will automatically be credited to the user’s bank account within 60 days.

13. Prior to payment, the User must provide a copy of their NRIC for identity verification purposes. Failure to do so may result in the compensation being revoked.

14. After the Monetization Period has ended, the User will receive the payment via online transfer within 60 days.

15. If in any case Newswav finds out the User is not the original owner of the Anonymous Content published, the compensation will be fully revoked by a hundred percent (100%).

DISCLAIMER

16. Newswav shall not be liable to the User nor shall the User have any claim against Newswav in respect of any disputes, claims, costs, losses or damages incurred by the User from submitting the Anonymous Content to the Platform.

INDEMNIFICATION
17. The User shall indemnify and keep Newswav indemnified against all claims, damages, actions and proceedings made or brought against us arising from the involvement in the submission of Anonymous Content and/or any breach of terms in relation thereto by the User.

18. We reserve the right to seek all remedies available legally for violations of these terms and conditions.

19. These terms & conditions may in whole or in part be amended by Newswav at any given time without prior notice.
